Analysis of the renewable energy sources integration in Serbia’s power energy system
The integration of the renewable energy sources into the power system is a major task for transmission system operators in every country. Big problems can be caused if the analysis of the integration of renewable sources is not done in an adequate way. Great focus must be done towards to this aim. All possible studies must be done in detail. This paper presents exactly one such analysis. It concerns the electric power system of the Republic of Serbia. A realistic problem that can arise in practice is presented and it is taken a step further. There was also a discussion about what would happen if there was a large installation of renewable energy sources. In such cases, big problems can occur with too much energy that has to be exported. The paper analyses two cases: one realistic for the prospective state of 2030 and the other when the installed capacity of renewable sources exceeds consumption. Two software were used for calculations. One is used for calculations at the all country level as one area, and the other calculations that obtain the currents of electricity on each branch and the voltages in each node.
