Research and Testing of Remote Monitoring System for Oil Level in Agricultural Machinery Tanks

Aiming at the actual situation that it is difficult to monitor the fuel volume in real time during the operation of agricultural machinery, the measurement accuracy is low, the sensor contacting the fuel is easy to be corroded and polluted, and the installation and maintenance are difficult, the remote monitoring system for agricultural machinery fuel composed of 3 parts: the monitoring terminal, the transmission network, and the remote monitoring system is designed. The fuel monitoring system takes ARM microcontroller as the main controller, reads the fuel level data of the fuel tank through the ultrasonic fuel level measuring sensor, models the relationship equation between the fuel tank volume and the fuel level through the three-dimensional reconstruction technology, and obtains the fuel consumption; and transmits the data of positioning of the agricultural machinery and fuel volume to the remote monitoring center through the 4G communication module. The remote supervision center is responsible for receiving, storing, querying, counting and analyzing the fuel consumption data of the agricultural machines, and realizing the remote monitoring of the refueling time, refueling location, refueling volume, remaining fuel volume and abnormal fuel consumption behavior of the agricultural machines. In order to verify the accuracy and stability of the testing system, a field test of the tractor fuel tank oil level remote monitoring system was carried out. The test results are: the maximum absolute error of fuel level monitoring is 4mm, the minimum absolute error is 1mm, and the average absolute error is 3mm; the maximum relative error of fuel level monitoring is 2.68%, the minimum relative error is 0.59%, and the average relative error is 1.96%. The test results show that the fuel monitoring system can realize the effective monitoring of the fuel quantity of agricultural machinery, and the system can always maintain stable operation and data accuracy, high detection accuracy.
