Verification of Harnessing Solar Energy in to Powertrain of Electric Small Commercial Vehicle through Bench Setup
The integration of renewable energy sources into the transportation sector, particularly in Electric Vehicles (EVs), holds promise for sustainable mobility and reduced carbon emissions. This paper explores the possible ways on how solar energy can be harnessed into the powertrain of Electric Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs) to offset the load demands when vehicle is parked or in motion. An experimental bench setup has been developed to validate the test cases. The results of the experiments have been analyzed considering different practical factors which helps to anticipate the implications of solar integration in to vehicle.
