The Flow Sensor Validation in Spirometer for Automatic Syringe Calibration System

Syringe Calibration is a calibration equipment used for adjusting spirometers. It is in the form of a 3L cylindrical syringe that is currently operated manually. This research aims to create an electric spirometer calibration device that can automatically calibrate the spirometer device. The device uses a stepper motor as a driver for the syringe plunger, which moves back and forth nine times. The Atmega328P IC is used as the controller for the entire working system. The device was tested at the Klaten Islamic Hospital, using the data collection method with 20x data collection. The test results data were compared with a 3L spirometer calibration device, and the calibration process took 140 seconds. The test data showed that the measurement data was changing due to suboptimal sensor readings on the spirometer during the data collection process. The smallest minimum error value obtained in the testing process was 0.1%, and the largest error was 1.2 %, which was still within the tolerance limit range of ±10%.
