RouteMate - RideSharing Application

RouteMate is a ride-sharing application that offers safe, secure, and affordable rides at almost half the price compared to other popular ride-sharing application. Developed using Kotlin, Firebase, and Android Studio, RouteMate aims to revolutionize urban commuting experiences. With two primary functionalities, users can choose to either become drivers or request rides. Drivers input their starting and ending locations, and the application uploads their requests to the server. When a rider with a matching route is found, they receive a notification to share the ride. Payment is processed through RouteMate, and the journey is continuously monitored by the application’s servers. Similarly, riders can request rides by entering their locations and selecting from a list of available drivers. Payments are securely processed via Razorpay, and rides commence immediately. The application enables both drivers and riders to connect seamlessly, facilitating cost-effective and convenient transportation solutions. During the journey, users can raise SOS requests if needed, and after completion, they can submit ratings about the ride. RouteMate ensures the safety of its users through a strict, precise, and exacting verification process, offering legal authentication for every customer. The uniqueness of RouteMate lies in its flexibility, allowing users to be both drivers and riders, and offering rides at significantly reduced prices. Moreover, drivers have the opportunity to earn part-time income through the application, further enhancing its application in urban commuting landscapes.
