Sensitive Security: The Next Generation Alarm System

This paper describes a low-cost security system for investigating the removal of an external object, for example, a watch or chain of a probe. When the object is disconnected, the circuit switch on an LED light for the purpose of telling the user visually that something is amiss and a buzzer to give an audible signal that something is wrong. This circuit is run by a 9-V battery and is equipped with a 555 timer integrated circuit and a BC547 transistor. The 555 timer IC is connected in monostable mode where control timing is changed via the P1 port. The BC547 transistor acts as a switch to control the output devices since its versatility enables its use in different security systems. Also, this design is an economic way of preventing theft and safeguarding items belonging to an individual. The paper also presents the description of the circuit and detailed characteristics of the system along with the experimental results pointing to the effectiveness and possible cost realization of the system.
