A Secure PHR Data Access Verification in Cloud

As healthcare systems transition towards digitalization, securing sensitive patient health information becomes paramount. This article proposes the utilization of the Number Theory Research Unit Encryption (NTRUE) this algorithm to enhance the security of Personal Health Records (PHRs). NTRUE, a lattice-based cryptosystem, offers advantages in efficiency and post-quantum resistance, making it a compelling choice for safeguarding health data. The key components of this proposed system include parameterized key generation, secure data sharing mechanisms, and efficient encryption and decryption processes. Parameters are carefully selected to balance security and computational efficiency. The NTRUE algorithm is applied to provide robust encryption for PHR data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and resistance against potential quantum attacks. In the proposed system, patients have control over their PHRs, with access granted to healthcare providers based on secure, multi-owner sharing mechanisms. The dynamic nature of healthcare collaborations, where groups of providers may change over time, is accommodated by the adaptability of NTRUE. The system not only addresses the immediate need for robust data protection but also aligns with emerging post-quantum cryptography standards, ensuring the long-term security of health records. By combining the benefits of NTRUE with a well-designed PHR system, this research supports the continuous initiatives to fortify healthcare information systems against evolving cyber threats and maintain the patients' security and privacy sensitive wellbeing data.
