Electromagnetic Compatibility Design of Angle Sensor for Rubber-Tired Train

This paper focuses on the electromagnetic compatibility design of an angle sensor for a certain type of rubber-tired train. It addresses the issue of sensor signal cables being susceptible to crosstalk from high-voltage power cables by adding a shielding layer to the cables and grounding it to shield against electromagnetic interference. After grounding the shielding layer at two points, the tested signals still exhibit significant errors. The cause of this is the high-frequency common-mode voltage generated by the train's inverter system, which flows into the train body and creates a potential difference. The common-mode current then flows into the shielding layer through the grounding points and couples into the signal cables. The grounding method of the sensor cable for axis 1 was modified, changing from dual-point grounding to single-point grounding. After the modification, the common-mode current no longer flows into the shielding layer. Testing results show that the signal error meets the requirements. Under the electromagnetic environment of the train, single-point grounding provides a better electromagnetic compatibility effect.
