Expert System for Identifying Pests on Ipomea Batatas Using Bayes Theorem
Sweet potato is a globally important food crop. Ipomoea batatas cultivation faces several challenges in various regions. Pest and disease problems are significant obstacles. Ipomoea batatas farmers need a pest identification system to deal with existing problems. To overcome this problem, an expert system using methods such as Bayes' theorem has been developed to help diagnose pests. A pest identification system in sweet potatoes using the Bayes method has been successfully created. The system calculation has been tested, and the results are manual calculations. Then, the system is re-tested by users and experts. In this test, 35 data from users are processed by the system, and the results are compared by expert identification. The percentage of match between the results of the identification system processing and the experts is 80%.
