Simulation of Water Sensing Automatic Windshield Wiper Device with Microcontroller-Based LCD Display

The simulation of the Water Sensing automatic windshield wiper with an LCD display based on a microcontroller was created using several methods, including design, which involves creating block diagrams, flowcharts, and designing schematic diagrams, and production, which includes component installation (soldering), acrylic assembly, programming the Arduino Nano microcontroller, and packaging the device. The main components of this device are the raindrop sensor, Arduino Nano, 12 × 6 LCD, and servo motor. Simulation of the Water Sensing automatic windshield wiper with an LCD display based on a microcontroller has been successfully created. The functional testing process went well, resulting in the device being able to detect the presence of rainwater, activate the wiper lever (wiper link), and move according to the intensity of the rain. Additionally, the device can also display information regarding the level of rain intensity on the LCD screen. This tool is expected to broaden knowledge and can be studied by students and readers alike, both in terms of its operation and its manufacturing process, so that it can be developed in the future, making this system beneficial, especially for the aviation industry and society in general.
