Energy Deviations Due to Improper Reactive Cum Power Quality Management in Diary Industry with Hybrid Energy Sources
A dependable and effective power source is essential to the dairy industry's operations, making it a significant electrical energy user. Reactive power and power quality problems, however, can result in large energy losses, device failures, and increased operating expenses. This study examines how power quality (PQ) and reactive power are evaluated and managed in the dairy industry through the use of Power Quality Analyzers (PQA) and electrical energy audits. An energy audit helps find inefficiencies and areas for improvement by analyzing voltage variations, current harmonics, power factor, and reactive power. In order to save energy, lessen equipment wear, and increase system reliability, the paper addresses the significance of preserving a high power factor and reducing harmonic distortion. The overall power quality can be greatly improved by putting corrective measures in place, such as installing harmonic filters to lessen distortion and capacitor banks for reactive power compensation. The results highlight how PQAs can be used for real-time monitoring and optimization, which facilitates improved decision-making and increases operational efficiency over the long run. In the end, electrical energy audits for power quality and reactive power management not only enhance energy performance but also lower expenses and guarantee the long-term viability of dairy industry operations.
