Standard Rehabilitation Program Development for High-Class Athletes with Dynamic Control of Physical Activity Levels
This article presents a concept of a rehabilitation and recovery treatment program development for high-class athletes, considering specifics of medical support for high-performance sports. One of the fundamental conditions for admitting athletes to professional activities is regular (at least 2 times a year) in-depth medical examination. With a set of regularly updated medical data on a wide range of clinical and laboratory methods, a sports medicine physician is able not only to justify formal admission to sports, but also to offer the athlete and team coach his extended recommendations to optimize the achievement of the best physical shape after previously sustained injuries. At the same time, personalization in the appointment of the implemented recovery and rehabilitation programs should not conflict with existing clinical guidelines and the requirements of evidence-based medicine. The article provides an example of a standard rehabilitation program with dynamic control of physical activity levels.
