Confidence-Enhanced Collaborative Spectrum-Sensing Using Energy Detection
This study proposes an optimized energy detection method that can be applied to cognitive radio systems. The algorithm firstly combines the single-threshold and dual-threshold techniques, which not only solves the problem of perception failure inherent in the traditional dual-threshold algorithm, but also enhances the performance of the sensing system for spectrum sensing under harsh conditions. Further, in order to reduce the cost of data transmission, collaborative sensing based on credibility comparison is introduced in the optimized energy detection method. Simulation results demonstrate the detection probability is improved by 0.58 at a false alarm rate of 0.3 and 0.59 at a signal-to-noise ratio of -10 dB compared to the conventional algorithm. Therefore, the proposed method has the effectiveness of the proposed method to enhance the performance of the system under challenging conditions such as low signal-to-noise ratio and low false alarm rate.
