Decenralized Robust Servomechanism Problem for Descriptor-type Discrete-time-delay Systems

Decentralized stabilizing controller design for a system to achieve robust tracking of certain reference signals despite certain disturbances and modeling uncertainties is an important problem, which is known as the decentralized robust servomechanism problem. In this work, this problem is considered for linear time-invariant descriptor-type discrete-time-delay systems. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of this problem are presented. The structure of the controller which solves this problem, when a solution exists, is also given.

Abstract

Decentralized stabilizing controller design for a system to achieve robust tracking of certain reference signals despite certain disturbances and modeling uncertainties is an important problem, which is known as the decentralized robust servomechanism problem. In this work, this problem is considered for linear time-invariant descriptor-type discrete-time-delay systems. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of this problem are presented. The structure of the controller which solves this problem, when a solution exists, is also given.
