PERITONEAL MESOTHELIOMA: DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC DILEMMA

Mesothelioma is a rare malignancy,with an even rarer occurrence in the peritoneum.Like traditional cases,association with asbestos is seen. In our cases, patients with possible exposures presented with non-specific symptoms, which ended up being diagnosed as peritoneal mesothelioma. The second patient had an interesting presentation with cerebellar symptoms,which are seldom seen in this type of malignancy.Ultimately,patients were informed of the poor prognosis to further aid treatment choices.
