Comprehensive Analysis of Wind Patterns for Agricultural Planning
The authors of this paper proposed a methodology to uncover the optimal conditions for natural pollination and agricultural practices through an in-depth analysis of wind speed and direction. Using the Wind Resource Database from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the research offers valuable insights for farmers. It identifies specific months with favourable wind conditions for natural pollination and highlights periods when strong winds could jeopardize crops. It employs sophisticated methods such as correlation analysis, histograms, and wind rose plots to provide actionable recommendations. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is conducted for temperature and wind patterns that provides insights which influences crop growth and yield. This information enables farmers to adapt their practices, strategically place windbreaks, and make crops stronger and more productive. Farmers will be able to use these findings to reduce the negative effects of wind and create more productive and profitable agriculture.
