MCTC: An Approach Based on Redundancy Spotting Through Overlapping Regions

Every IoT devices revolves around the challenges of optimizing power usage to ensure prolonged device operation and longer battery life. This encompasses addressing issues such as latency, excessive data transmission, all of which impacts the sustainability and effectiveness of IoT devices in various applications. This paper aims at optimizing power usage which is a crucial component for IoT devices, especially those running on batteries. There are various advancing algorithms that are emerging in the current era for finding the overlapping regions. This paper uses a new technique called as MCTC by considering a certain geographical area and further the overlapping region of the homogeneous sensor nodes are found. A simulation tool is used for finding the overlapping regions. Then further, the redundant data is removed by simply combining the useful data. Finally, the results of modified algorithm are compared to the existing algorithm to exhibit the enhanced efficiency along with increased accuracy of the data through the MCTC algorithm. By removing redundant data, the processing time and storage taken by these redundant data is eliminated through which the efficiency of the cloud computing is improved.
