Smart Detection of Underground Cable Faults Using Arduino and Bluetooth Integrating

Efficient detection of underground cable faults is vital for the uninterrupted operation of electrical grids. This paper presents an innovative solution for smart underground cable fault detection using Arduino and Bluetooth integration. The system utilizes multiple sensors to monitor key parameters such as voltage, resistance, and temperature variations to accurately detect and localize faults in real-time. By automating the fault detection process, the system enables rapid fault localization, eliminating the need for traditional manual inspections and reducing complex setups. The system logs GPS coordinates of detected faults and transmits them via Bluetooth, enabling maintenance teams to locate faults quickly. Bluetooth technology allows wireless data transmission to mobile devices, offering convenient access to fault data for maintenance teams, thereby enhancing operational efficiency. The integration of cost-effective Arduino technology and portable Bluetooth connectivity makes the system scalable and suitable for widespread deployment in various grid infrastructures. This novel approach significantly reduces downtime, improves fault management, and provides an efficient, low-cost solution for modern power distribution networks.
