Air Quality Monitoring on Congested Roads Using Smart Sensor Technology
Rapid industrialization and urbanization, especially in a densely populated area, have resulted in air pollution in Chennai, which presents serious issues. The city's economic expansion has resulted in a rise in emissions from several sources, which hurts the environment, public health, and infrastructure. To solve this, a sophisticated system for monitoring air quality has been created. It combines GPS, wireless GIS, and solid-state gas sensor technology into portable devices, making it possible to effectively identify and measure air contaminants. According to real- time data gathered from several sites, severe carbon monoxide levels have been found. Readings are as high as 0.00045 % in Anna Nagar, 0.00043% in Tambaram, and 0.00029% close to the airport and railway station. There are levels of 0.00021% and 0.00022% in other places, like Chrompet and Ashok Pillar. This thorough monitoring strategy to improves the capacity to control and lessen pollution.
