SEPIC Converter Design and Implementation for EV Battery Charger with Multiple Output System
Electric vehicles (EVs) are gaining popularity due to their energy efficiency and low carbon emissions. However, the limited charging infrastructure poses a significant barrier to their widespread adoption. To tackle this challenge, developing effective and affordable EV chargers that support various battery voltages is essential. This study introduces a multi-voltage charger circuit utilizing a non-inverting DC-DC converter known as a SEPIC (Single-Ended Primary Inductor Converter). This converter can both step up and step down input voltage, accommodating batteries with different requirements, such as 24V, 36V, and 48V. A SEPIC-based charger enhances EV charging accessibility and promotes faster adoption of electric vehicles, ultimately aiding in reducing carbon emissions
