A Flexible Low-Frequency AC Transmission System: Principles and Applications
According to the development and planning of global offshore wind power in recent years, the future developing trend has shown the probability of a system that is a large-scale, clustered, and in a deep open sea area. At present, the wind power resource in coastal areas has been widely exploited, while the offshore wind power resource in the open sea area is relatively abundant, with wider distribution ranges, richer energy resources, and more stable wind power. Since the cost of development is gradually decreased, offshore wind power will inevitably develop in deep open sea areas with higher power rating offshore turbines in the future.
