SYSTEMATIZATION OF BASIC DEFINITIONS REGARDING THE FORMATION OF THE CONCEPTUAL-THEORETICAL BASIS OF INFORMATION SUPPORT OF CONSTRUCTION ORGANIZATION PROCESSES

Abstract. In the modern context of the dynamic development of the construction industry, the importance of information support for construction organization processes is becoming increasingly evident. The efficiency of management decisions determines not only the productivity of projects but also their quality, safety, and compliance with contemporary requirements. In this regard, there is a growing need to systematize fundamental definitions that establish the conceptual and theoretical basis of information support in construction. This study aims to examine key terms and concepts underlying the information support of construction organization processes. In particular, an analysis will be conducted of definitions related to automation, information systems, management technologies, and their role in enhancing the efficiency of construction processes. The systematization of these definitions will contribute to the creation of a unified theoretical framework for further research in this field and will also assist specialists in understanding and implementing new information technologies in construction. Special attention will be given to methods of integrating various information systems that enable effective management of the design, construction, and operational phases of buildings and structures. In the context of technological advancements, one of the crucial directions is the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems, which facilitate the integration of all stages of a building's life cycle into a single information model. Such integration reduces costs, improves planning accuracy, and ensures more effective control over construction processes. Additionally, an important aspect is the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which enable comprehensive management of construction processes while considering territorial characteristics and resource constraints. A distinctive feature of information support in construction is the need to account for the specifics of the industry, particularly the interaction between numerous stakeholders, including designers, contractors, clients, material and equipment suppliers. Therefore, a key challenge is the development of tools to ensure transparency and coordination among all interested parties throughout the implementation of construction projects. The adoption of modern technologies not only allows for the automation of individual work stages but also optimizes communication between project participants, ensuring a high level of risk management and work execution control. Thus, this article presents a comprehensive review of existing concepts, approaches, and terminology, contributing to the formation of a holistic understanding of modern information systems in construction, their role, and significance in the organization of efficient construction processes.
