A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted with a mixed approach, with a sample of 28 families composed of 99 people. It is concluded that the risk factors associated with the disease in the study population are drinking water, insufficient or absent sewage disposal, and excreta, which constitute a danger to the health of the inhabitants.
