Electromagnetic Interference Calculations in a Mixed Underground-Submarine Cable System
This work presents an analysis of the induced voltages on the cable sheaths as well as the related electromagnetic interference (EMI) to nearby coated pipelines in a mixed underground/submarine cable system. Steady-state simulations are performed using the Electromagnetic Transients Program (EMTP) software. The effect of conductive coupling on the metallic pipeline is also accounted by using a simplified modelling approach.
