Innovative Approaches to Wireless Power Transmission for Enhanced Mobile Charging Efficiency
Wireless power transmission (WPT) is an emerging technology that enables the transfer of electrical energy from a power source to a device without the need for physical connectors. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a WPT system tailored for mobile phone charging. The system operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, where energy is transmitted through an oscillating magnetic field generated by a transmitter coil and captured by a receiver coil. The transmitter side begins with a DC power supply that is converted into AC by a transmitter circuit. This AC current generates an oscillating magnetic field via the transmitter coil, which serves as the medium for energy transmission. On the receiver side, the receiver coil captures this magnetic field, inducing an AC current, which is then rectified back into DC by the receiver circuit. This DC power is then used to charge a mobile phone. This wireless charging system offers several advantages, including the elimination of physical connectors, reducing wear and tear on devices, and enhancing user convenience. The project not only demonstrates the basic principles of WPT but also explores its practical application in everyday life, paving the way for future advancements in wireless charging technologies.
