QUASI-SOCIALIZATION OF BUDGET POLICY IN UKRAINE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES
The article examines issues related to the financial support of the state's social policy in Ukraine. Emphasis is placed on significant imbalances in this area caused by the state's resource deficit and evident failures in the administration of various social payments. These issues are also closely tied to significant challenges in Ukraine's pension system. It is argued that Ukraine has undergone a quasi-socialization of budget policy, characterized by the fact that neither increased pension payments nor the rise of other social benefits leads to an improvement in the level of social protection for Ukrainian citizens. Such increases merely offset the destructive impact of macroeconomic factors on the standard of living in Ukraine. Consequently, in the context of post-war economic recovery, conducting a comprehensive audit of social policy and its financial dimensions is necessary.
