Constructing infinite families of number fields with given indices from quintinomials

Abstract In this paper, for any rational prime p and for a fixed positive integer ν p , we provide infinite families of number fields defined by quintinomials satisfying ν p ( i ( K )) = ν p . We illustrate our results by some computational examples.
