THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTIONS AND REHABILITATION TREATMENT IN OLDERS WITH HIP AND KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS

Osteoarthritis is a common disease of the locomotor system and the main cause of invalidity for the olders. In our current activity it has been ascertained the association of the psychical ageing signs with clinical evidence of degenerative disorders of the locomotor system and that requires a complex approach of the neuro-psychomotor system in respect of the services for medical rehabilitation. We made this prospective and randomised study to assess efficiency of a program for physical and kinetics rehabilitation in two groups of olders with osteoarthritis of hip and knee and also to emphasize the negative impact of the cognitive dysfunctions, depression and anxiety during evolution of the rehabilitation programme.
