Factors affecting business performance: A study of Vietnamese listed plastic industry enterprises in the Vietnamese stock market

The business performance of enterprises is influenced by numerous internal and external factors. This study investigates six internal factors and two external factors that impact the business performance of plastic industry enterprises listed on the Vietnamese stock market and proposes several solutions. The research team employs a panel data regression model using data from 48 plastic industry companies listed on the HOSE and HNX stock exchanges over the period 2015-2022. The results reveal that 5 out of the 8 factors analyzed have a significant impact on business performance, namely: company size, quick ratio, total asset turnover, debt-to-total assets ratio, and business age.
