Collective Neighboring Potential Based Media Access Control Access Protocol for Flying Ad Hoc Network
Nowadays, with the rapid development of UAV collaboration technology, the Flying ad hoc network (FANET) composed of multiple UAVs has received wide attention. In order to achieve a more flexible UAV networking architecture, the network size is getting larger and the number of UAVs is increasing. However, due to the high-speed movement of UAVs and the flexible and changeable architecture of FANET, the access collision of large-scale UAVs in networking has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, we propose an access algorithm based on Collective Neighborhood Interference Potential (CNIP), aiming to achieve low access conflict rate and low access delay in large-scale UAV scenarios. Firstly, a scheme for calculating the CNIP is proposed for the distribution of nodes around a large-scale UAV node; secondly, we propose an access mechanism based on the historical access situation of the channel to provide access probability for the UAV node. Simulation results show that compared with traditional access algorithms, the CNIP-p-CSMA algorithm not only improves the average access success rate, but also achieves lower latency and higher access efficiency.
