Research on Modulation Classification and Recognition for W-band Millimeter Wave Communication

With the development of wireless communication technology, high-order modulation modes are gradually being applied, and the classification of high-order modulation modes in ultra-high frequency bands such as the W-band is particularly important. This paper explores the classification and recognition of high-order modulation modes in W-band communication systems and derives the tenth-order cumulant. Through the nonlinear combination of the tenth-order cumulants, a new decision tree model is used to achieve effective recognition of seven communication modulation modes, including {BPSK, QPSK, 64APSK, 128APSK, 256APSK, 512QAM, 1024QAM}, at low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). The average recognition rate reaches 100% when the SNR is greater than 12dB.

The average recognition rate reaches 100% when the SNR is greater than 12dB.
