CSR activities of Korean companies operating in Mongolia, With a Focus on Yuhan-Kimberly
This study focuses on environmental improvements through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of South Korean companies that have entered Mongolia. We examine the performance from the beginning to the present day, focusing on Yuhan Kimberly, which, among the Korean companies, has been active for the longest time in Mongolia. Through its operations, we can observe the impact on the local community and the change in awareness. We confirmed that Yuhan-Kimberly had carried out the first and second rounds of forest creation in Mongolia as part of the desertification prevention project from 2003 to the present; and that the third round is currently underway. In addition to forest creation, the company has also expanded in the field of education. Through this, we have been able to confirm that forest creation has had a great impact on the Mongolian community. In the future, we will suggest ways to improve upon these developments.
