Applications of Gosper's nonlocal derangement identity
A summation identity that may be referred to as Gosper's \emph{nonlocal derangement identity} was applied by Gosper, Ismail, and Zhang in 1993 to produce infinite series identities of a highly original and unconventional nature. This motivates our explorations as to how the Maple Computer Algebra System may be applied to obtain new summation evaluations from Gosper's derangement identity.
