O CERCEAMENTO DO “DIREITO” À MOVÊNCIA: O SILENCIAMENTO DAS BIOGRAFIAS DE MOVIMENTO NO CONTEXTO DA EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA ESCOLAR

The present study is based on at least two central aims, which are, on the one hand, to justify the meaning of movement and Physical Education as components of human rights and, on the other, to point out to what extent freedom and access to movingness have been restricted within school institutions in contemporary times. The work in question is characterized as a historical-bibliographic study of a qualitative nature. After the analysis, we understood that movement activities have had and continue to have fundamental importance in people's lives. Given this scenario, throughout history, Physical Education has justified itself as a science and pedagogical area to rationalize and manage work with movingness. However, despite history highlighting the prominence of Physical Education and movement in children and adolescents' lives, some measures and decisions in Brazil have degraded individuals' right to access movement culture activities, especially in the school environment. Among the aspects that have contributed to the depreciation of the right to movingness are the weakening of school Physical Education, lack of spaces and material resources for practice, failure of public authorities to meet students' needs, and normative documents and laws that do not align with reality. Through the discussion presented in this manuscript, it appears that the deprivation of the right to movingness and Physical Education in Brazilian schools represents a setback for the biopsychosocial formation of children and young people.
