Analysis of Influence of GDP, Population Resident, and FDI Against Co2 Emissions in 6 ASEAN Countries

Increasing global warming and the industrial revolution are accelerating as time goes by which will result in environmental damage, climate change, damage to the earth, and atmosphere, greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and toxic waste. This phenomenon is one of human activities as industrial behavior which has a long-term impact on the environment. This research aims to analyze the influence of GDP, population, and FDI on CO2 emissions in six ASEAN countries. The method for analyzing data in this research is panel data regression which integrates cross-sectional and time-series data (pooled least squares). The best model in this research based on data processing is the Fixed Effect Model. The results of this research show that the variables GDP and population have a positive and significant effect on CO2 emissions in six ASEAN countries for the period 2012 to 2022, meanwhile, FDI has a positive but not significant effect on CO2 emissions in six ASEAN countries in 2012-2022.
