Bioethics Calls for the Economy, Business Ethics and SDG’s Interpretation: a Perspective from Future Generations

Objective: To analyze the bioethical perspective of economic development based on the intervention of knowledge in economic productivity, with the purpose of inserting the analysis into the postulates of SDG 12 in view of techno-business practices. Theoretical Framework: Study interprets techno-business practices from ethical concepts around the economy, deduced from SDG 12, considering the arguments of business bioethics. These are implied from the techno-entrepreneurial contexts that the theory defines as internal, external and of intermediation. Method: An interpretation is elaborated by phenomenological-hermeneutical methodology applying the postulates of M. Heidegger (2002): 1) Starting point of the Interpretation (bioethics of techno-business since SDG 12); 2) Direction of interpretation (contexts of technobusiness and business bioethics), and 3) Horizon of interpretation (Bioethics of technobusiness economics in SDG 12). Punto de mira Results and Discussion: A direct relationship is established between techno-business, ethics and action limits from SDG 12. Ethical/philosophical links were also established between the internal/external contexts of technobusiness, SDG 12 and global bioethics. It is concluded that bioethics in the SDG 12 perspective calls to the techno-entrepreneurial economy with viewing in bioethical values involved in SDG 12. Research Implications: The study clarifies the implications of bioethics in the economy from technology companies. It transcends the ethical contexts on which SDG 12 is founded. It is necessary to broaden the analysis to the intermediation contexts of technology companies in order to clarify bioethics in its global context in the digital era. Originality/Value: Study contributes to the philosophical discourse of bioethics in economy by providing arguments for understanding beyond biomedical bioethics.

Theoretical Framework: Study interprets techno-business practices from ethical concepts around the economy, deduced from SDG 12, considering the arguments of business bioethics. These are implied from the techno-entrepreneurial contexts that the theory defines as internal, external and of intermediation.
