Laryngeal Motor Evoked Potentials (LMEPs)

Laryngeal Motor Evoked Potentials (LMEPs) after VNS implantation. V2, V3, V4 and V5 referred respectively to visits at 2 weeks, 1, 3, and 6 months after VNS implantation. Stimulation was triggered using an external magnet and LMEPs were recorded at each intensity level, starting at 0.125 mA and increasing by 0.125 mA increment steps up to the clinical magnet intensity (Xstim) + 0.125 mA, if tolerated by the patients. Pulse width are all the same (250µv).
