Forecast of the appearance and spread of the ringed forest tent moth in the gardens of the region

110 species of harmful insects have been identified in the Saratov region, of which 90 species are on the apple tree. The most vicious pest is the ringed forest tent moth. In cases of mass reproduction of the ringed forest tent moth, the fruit yield dies or is sharply reduced, even with a relatively small number of pests, the damage is significant. Thus, the fight against the ringed forest tent moth in gardens is necessary. According to the conducted studies, the timing of the appearance of the phases of the ontogenesis of the ringed forest tent moth has been established, depending on the accumulation of average daily positive temperatures. Based on the data obtained, a phenoclimogram was developed to clarify the specific timing of the development of the ringed forest tent moth in the gardens of the region. The research revealed the presence of the pest on the most common apple tree varieties in the region and studied the spread of eggs in orchards during the winter phase. Pest control methods have been developed, and the high effectiveness of the bacterial drug Lepidocide has been revealed. The most effective combination of Lepidocide with a sublethal additive in this drug is 1/20 of the consumption rate of the pyrethroid drug Decisa.
