EXPLORING THE LINK BETWEEN SERUM URIC ACID AND HS-CRP LEVELS IN ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME: A OBSERVATIONAL STUDY
This study examines the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Conducted as an observational cross-sectional study at AIMS & RC, Rajsamand, 100 ACS patients were classified into STEMI, NSTEMI, and unstable angina. Results revealed a significant positive correlation (r=0.40, p<0.001) between SUA and hsCRP. Hyperuricemic patients had a higher risk of cardiogenic shock (p=0.02) and heart failure (p=0.01). These findings underscore the prognostic value of SUAand hsCRPin ACS, aiding in risk stratification and guiding clinical management.
