A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Self-Instructional Module Regarding Menopausal Changes Among Pre-Menopausal Women Residing at Selected Urban Ares of Hassan, Karnataka

Menopause is a natural stage in a woman's life, marked by significant changes in hormone levels that can affect various bodily functions. This quasi-experimental study aimed to evaluate the knowledge and awareness of pre-menopausal women (aged 40-50 years) residing in selected urban areas. Using a non-probability purposive sampling technique, 50 pre-menopausal women were selected for the study. The findings indicated a significant association between the participants' knowledge and both their educational background and age. The study also revealed an increase in the women's knowledge following the implementation of a structured information module (SIM). These results underscore the importance of targeted educational interventions to enhance awareness and support during the menopausal transition.
