L'atassia cerebellare acuta
Acute cerebellar ataxia is a rare but well-described paediatric condition, often post-infectious. The paper reports the case of a 4-year-old boy with sudden onset of tremors, ataxia, speech disturbances, and urinary incontinence. Laboratory tests, neuroimaging and electromyography showed no significant abnormalities. A diagnosis of exclusion led to acute post-infectious cerebellar ataxia, managed with supportive therapy. The course was favourable, with spontaneous improvement. This case highlights the importance of differential diagnosis to rule out more severe neurological conditions.
