Skupnostne identitete v zgodovinopisju in arheologiji zgodnjega srednjega veka na Slovenskem

This article presents the main features of the historiographical and archaeological discourse on the topic of community identities in early medieval Slovenia. Based on a critical analysis of selected scholarly texts written between the late 18th century and the middle of the 20th, the methodological characteristics of both fields of research in formulating statements on the topic are interpreted, as is their mutual relationship in this regard.
