Comparative Analysis: Traditional Coding Method Using Python Vs. Botpress Platform

The objective of this paper is to provide comprehensive comparison between two different methodologies used in chatbot development, traditional coding approach using Python and using market-available platforms particularly Botpress. This study addresses the various methods through which conversational chat bots can be built using Python libraries like Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) for natural language processing, newspaper3k for web content extraction and Botpress nodes for conversation flow design purposes. The paper aims at enlightening developers through examining their efficiency, pros cons among other factors such as ease of deployment, scalability, integration of NLP techniques etc. Furthermore, the research unfolds a close examination of the characteristics and capabilities of both traditional coding and Botpress platform accompanied by an implemented example concerning a chatbot. Developers can use this comparative analysis to decide on the best method by highlighting each method's strengths and weaknesses.
