Review on Securing IOT Application Using Blockchain in Transportation Network
Blockchain plays a pivotal role in securing transactions involving moving IoT nodes by leveraging its decentralized and tamper-proof architecture. In traditional systems, the centralized nature of data management introduces vulnerabilities, particularly when handling dynamic IoT nodes, such as drones, autonomous vehicles, or mobile sensors. Blockchain, as a decentralized ledger, eliminates the need for a central authority, distributing trust across multiple nodes. This ensures that all transactions between moving IoT nodes are verified through a consensus mechanism, preventing unauthorized access or tampering. Each transaction is immutably recorded, creating a permanent and traceable record of interactions. Additionally, smart contracts can automate the validation of transactions between IoT nodes, ensuring secure, real-time exchanges without human intervention. This research paper explores possible approaches to securing IoT applications in transportation networks, focusing on core components and the integration of location-based services in the process flow.
