Imago Veritas: Detecting AI Generated Images Using CNN

AI-generated images pose substantial risks, such as misinformation, identity theft, and digital fraud. Our project is focused on creating a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model to effectively identify AI-generated images. Through the implementation of advanced data preprocessing and augmentation techniques, we successfully increased the model's accuracy from 56% to 91%. This improvement underscores the efficacy of our approach in reliably detecting AI-generated images and addressing associated risks.

Abstract

AI-generated images pose substantial risks, such as misinformation, identity theft, and digital fraud. Our project is focused on creating a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model to effectively identify AI-generated images. Through the implementation of advanced data preprocessing and augmentation techniques, we successfully increased the model's accuracy from 56% to 91%. This improvement underscores the efficacy of our approach in reliably detecting AI-generated images and addressing associated risks.
