Hybrid Model for Electromagnetic Vibration Fast Computation of Nonsinusoidal Excitation IPMSMs With Step-Skew Rotor
This article proposes a novel hybrid model for computing the electromagnetic vibration of the nonsinusoidal excitation interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM) with step-skew rotor. This model combines the equivalent magnetic network (EMN) with the structural beam element model for computing the electromagnetic force and transfer function, respectively. First, the EMN model considering the axial flux linkage effect is applied to a 72-slot/12-pole IPMSM with a V-typed step-skew rotor. The frozen permeability method technique is employed to improve computing efficiency, accounting for carrier current harmonics. Second, the 2-D and 3-D beam elements are used for the stator core to acquire the frequency response and static deformation functions for vibration deformation transfer function construction, respectively. The effect of housing is also assessed based on a uniform equivalent material layer around the stator core. Third, the electromagnetic vibration response of the 72-slot/12-pole IPMSM is synthesized. Finally, a prototype is manufactured and experimentally tested to validate the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid model.
