Educational work of the university on the preservation of historical memory (based on the material of the military poetry competition)
The aim of the research is to substantiate the possibility and effectiveness of organizing educational work in higher education using the material of fiction (poetry) to preserve historical memory. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that the experience of successful pedagogical practice of holding a poetry competition at a university is described and analyzed for the first time. As a result of the research, the educational potential of the competition is substantiated. Firstly, the ideological and spiritual content of fiction (poetry) is a rich source for the preservation of historical memory. Poems attract students with characteristics similar to social media texts (brevity, relevance, novelty). The emotional and sensory perception of poetry allows history to be perceived at a personal level. Secondly, a poetry recitation competition is an effective form of preserving historical memory, as it allows for the organic combination of emotional-sensory and activity components of perception. Thirdly, the effectiveness of the recitation competition lies in the possibility of developing students' intellectual abilities (expanding the circle of reading, text analysis, argumentation of answers to questions, etc.); developing creative skills (motivation to participate in the competition, search and selection of text, public speaking, etc.). Research in the field of finding various forms of educational work using fiction in higher education to preserve historical memory is heuristic in nature.
