GEO-SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF CANCER CLUSTER AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISK FACTOR IN THE USA
This study employs geo-spatial analysis to investigate cancer clusters and environmental risk factors across the United States (USA). Cancer is a significant public health concern, with millions diagnosed annually, and its etiology is multifactorial, involving genetic predispositions and environmental exposures. Environmental factors such as air pollution, proximity to hazardous sites, and lifestyle choices like smoking contribute to cancer incidence variations. Utilizing state and county-level cancer data from 2017 to 2021, this research employs GIS and statistical modeling to identify spatial patterns and clusters of cancer incidence. The findings highlight geographic disparities in cancer rates and underscore the complex interplay between environmental exposures and cancer risk, necessitating targeted public health interventions.
