Results of screening tonometry among residents of Tyumen

Aim. Early identification of patients with risk factors for the development of glaucoma by assessing diagnostic effectiveness of intraocular pressure measuring in the adult population and questioning patients. Methods. Coordinated and simultaneous work of all medical institutions in Tyumen is described within the framework of “World Glaucoma Day”prophylactic campaign. The number of applicants within the framework of this promotion was analyzed. All patients filled out a questionnaire to identify risk factors for the development of glaucoma and underwent non-contact tonometry. In 2024, 14 medical organizations (MO) of Tyumen took part in the action, 2 MO more than in 2023. In 2024 a total of 126 patients was identified as those with increased intraocular pressure, which is 48 patients more than in 2023. This indicates an increase in interest in this action among residents of Tyumen. Glaucoma was diagnosed in 38 patients in 2023 and in 48 patients in 2024. The patients were registered at the dispensary. Key words: screening, glaucoma, tonometry
