Testing of the phenomenon of cosmological inflation with a Non-minimal derivative coupling: John–George models
In this work, we investigate the inflationary phenomenon with a special case of a non-minimal derivative coupling scalar field called the John–Gorge model. The John and Gorge field model is special in that the coupling is made between the Ricci scalar and the potential. Using the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker metric and determining the different equations of motion, and using the slow-roll condition, we were able to show that the inflation parameters deriving from the John and Gorge model are in perfect agreement with the observations.
